My shop began before I ever started my Etsy.

It started in my grandfathers wood shop.

It started in his yard where I stained and cut and sanded his pieces of wood that he collected over the span of forty years and then some.

It started when I needed $1,100 to fund my trip to the Dominican Republic that is taking place this spring.

And then it started when God's word was painted on three square wood pieces and posted on Instagram with the idea that the money purchased would go towards my trip funds.

I was able to raise the money I need for my plane ticket in 6 days through my sales, and following that in just a few weeks I reached my goal and then some for my trip funds.

I have continued my adventure on Etsy, and am thankful for this site that has mobilized my business and allowed me to share my creations with a greater, thriving audience that allows for community, collaboration, and inspiration.

Now I find myself in need of $2,800 dollars for my trip to Central Asia this summer that I am taking with a team from my church. We are going to meet people in the world that have never heard the name Jesus, and we will pray for them and share with them and do life with them throughout our time there.

I see my business as a dynamic, ever changing, ever growing and evolving platform for me to raise support for my future mission work as a follower of Jesus as well as making a few bucks along the way before a trip is being planned and pursued.

My wooden creations are made from wood I find all over the place, from peoples front yards with "Free" signs posted in front, to resale and reuse warehouses filled with building materials that have been collected and reclaimed for future use. I use fabric and yarn that I have cultivated over the years, my personal collection, and make woven and braided ribbons that are used to hang the signs.

And lastly, I hand paint the signs myself, free handed, and use words from the Bible, words of encouragement, words that inspire, sayings that exhort and open eyes.
